17h00 > 23H00 YES FUTURE ALEXIS BERTRAND (1986,France) Photographer, Videographer, picture collector. His self media practice is a reaction in front of his every day life as an explorator of contemporary globalize society. His main worry interrogate the fate of human being in the social space, represent their discord, their balance of power. He use photography to seeing world with a new and distanced viewpoint, a stranger’s viewpoint to the world’s strangeness Consequences of the fact that the world is crowded by a representation’s overflow, Alexis Bertrand extract his own pictures from the «society of the spectacle» is a way to reclaim, to re-appropriate by himself this representation, to examine there interactions with the world, with people, to extract from this interactions a sensible and critics vision. His photography practice compares in the pictures, signs, people, objects, to interrogate what unites it and what separate it. When he’s building a picture, he use his frame like a mounting and collage tools to match the different signs, the difference plans who will be confront on the picture. This approach bring him to practice video and to collect found pictures. Coming from a traditional street photography vision, Alexis Bertrand start to remove localization, to make room for a synthetic vision of the individual location in the post-modernity. A world without main story, without linear history, and who seems not belong to us. In his picture, each place could be find everywhere in the world, it’s important to him to anterritorialize them in the way of overcome them from a specific social purview. His point is to act out what is collective, universal, politic, in this common, fragmentary, intimate instant. How the figure confers a presence to what is around him? How individual apprehends space, appropriates it, protect themselves from it, crosses it ? We could assimilate his work from what Allan Sekula calls the critical realism in photography. in reference of the french literature movement, in the 19 century. A second time of his work is the joint between his pictures. With time, he build a large photography atlas. It’s in this atlas that he extract few of this photography, in order to create singular set. his work ends up to use the form of installations and books. This form are thoughts like montage exercise between the few picture he selects. This montage practice is a privileged place to give a visibility to our contemporaneity in all it multiplicity. http:// http:// |

Dear
friends, this week "Nicht böse sein!" will be projected, a crazy film
about three kreuzberg mens lost between get out of jail, drugs and hartz
IV. A movie by Wolfgang Reinke.
Drei Männer in einer Wohngemeinschaft, 54 m2 in Berlin Kreuzberg. Sie schlafen in Küche, Bad und halbem Zimmer. Junkies, Ex-Knackis und Alkoholiker zwischen Hartz IV, dem nächsten Schuß, Wodka und Bier – der Albtraum jeder bürgerlichen Nachbarschaft. Andi träumt von einer eigenen Wohnung, Dieter muss für 100 Tage in den Bau, und Wolfgang schreibt Gedichte. In der klaustrophobischen Enge dieser Gemeinschaft benebelter Geister wirken Glück und Liebe wie Schatten einer längst vergangenen Zeit. Während es in dem Dreck, dem Chaos und der Verzweiflung zu rührenden Momenten kommt, brechen die Konflikte zunehmend stärker durch: die Stromrechnung, die Miete, die geklauten Pullis. Doch Andi bringt das scheinbar paradoxe ihrer Situation auf den Punkt: “Kein Mensch lebt doch gern alleine!”

Berliner Ausgabe der Mutant Phunk Party trifft sich die Pariser Crew Acid Pony Club im ModulHome! Da viele Crew-Mitglieder inzwischen nicht mehr in Paris galoppieren, ist es umso schöner, dass sich ein Großteil des Teams bei uns zusammenfindet: Laura Ingalls, Hälfte des DJ- und Produzenten-Duos "The Horses" aus Shanghai, Modstand, der gerade frisch auf "Rue de Plaisance" gesignt wurde und Trim, der nach einigen Jahren in Paris wieder nach Berlin zurückgekehrt ist. Jeder von ihnen wird den Tänzer in sein eigenes Universum entführen. Unsere Lieblings-DJane AlienSlut wird den Ball mit einer Mischung aus Soul, Rock und anderen Vintage-Perlen eröffnen und Auddie bringt seine Maschinen und Klaviaturen mit, um mal wieder eines seiner besten Techno-Livesets zu zaubern. Alles eingepackt in einer außergewöhnlichen Location zu korrekten Preisen!

"For its first edition in Berlin, Mutant Phunk invites some of the stallions from the French crew Acid Pony Club and some local race horses. Most of the ponies now live abroad and this is a rare chance to catch some of them, re-united, for better and for horse. Laura Ingalls is half of the always so productive duo The Horses, who are based in Shanghai.
Modstand still represents the gentrified ghetto of Paris City and just got signed to the vinyl only label Rue De Plaisance.
Trim is the Berliner who became Pariser and then came back with the Funk, the whole Funk and nothing but the Funk.
Djane Alien Slut will open with a selection of soul, rock and other vintage grooves. Live but not least, Auddie, who always serves his magically mysterious Techno live set on a bunch of hardware synth and whatnot. Mutantphunk makes it extra special and take you out of your usual club round to Modul Home, an art space/workshop turned into a disco for just one night!"

On naît seul, on vit seul, on meurt seul. Seul, toujours seul. Et même quand on baise on est seul. Seul avec sa chair, seul avec sa vie, qui est comme un tunnel qu'il est impossible de partager.
Et plus on est vieux, plus on est seul, face à quelques souvenirs d'une vie qui se détruit au fur et à mesure. Une vie , c'est comme un tunnel. Et à chacun son petit tunnel. Mais au bout du tunnel, il n'y a même pas de lumière. Il n'y a plus rien.
We are born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Alone, always alone. And even when we fuck we are alone. Alone with his flesh, alone with his life, which is like a tunnel that is impossible to share. And the older we are getting, the more lonely we are, facing some memories of a life that is destroying itself progressively. Life is like a tunnel. And everyone has his little tunnel. But at the end of the tunnel, there is not even light. There is nothing.
